when a person gets recognized as an Indian, does that person receive money?
I've heard rumors that when someone gets recognized as an indian through the government, they recieve millions of dollars. This comes from frozen accts. that they had froze when they took the money and land that they promised. there were some that didn't recieve anything, so by right of birth records there are thoughs that have enough indian in them to get recognized.

- There's no such thing as free money.
- uh...some individuals with a large enough percentage of indian heritage are elligible for tribal benefits. Usually need to be at least 1 16/th and it varies from tribe to tribe; as do any finanacial benefites that might be available from tribal casio ownership or private land settlements. Ain't no millions out there with anyone's name one it.
- It depends on what tribe you are a descendant of. You have to be at least 1/4 Indian....and from a certain tribe, to receive money from the government.
- Indian, you mean a person born in India or of Indian descent? Or do you mean Native Americans? Anyway, i believe this is not true at all.
