Look at the map & population of Iraq and overlay it on China. USA is in Iraq now for about 7 years & not even near to a solution. Can’t even beat Vietnam for more than 20 years & the Vietnamese were only wearing flipflops & inferior weaponry & cant win the war in Korea. China shot down a US sattelite and US didnt even respond. ist because we know that arguing & making war with china can get our ass kick? China has an active army of 2,250,000. With 342,956,265 males and 324,701,244 females standing by and they're advancing in technology rapidly! USA got NATO while China got the SCO, = , Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan & future members are Mongolia, India, Pakistan & Iran We are billions of $ in debt to China & some say that China has the power to have the US economy collapse faster than the US can launch a nuke. things = made in china. do you think china would become a super power again after its dynasty periods? Is the Sleeping giant awaken?

I do not know who would win. I believe that we would take the war to them, just to keep it out of our country. And ,yes ! The sleeping giant has been awake for a long time.
An occupation, fighting against non-conventional forces, is waaay different from fighting a force on force war. Nobody, by a long shot, spends as much on its military as the U.S., and in a force on force battle we would be just fine.
Might as well just copy and paste my answer from other USA vs. China question... Learn what the war in Iraq is about. We're not trying to conquer a nation. And if China missile try to hit a US satellite, US/Japan's radar would detect it and our thousands of destroyer patrolling the sea will shot it down. Our troops may not be the best in the world but are well train enough. History have shown that it took twice the number of Chinese to defeat US troops(Chosin Reservoir). Chinese soldier in the other hand aren't as well train as US troops. They also aren't as well equip. Most of them were force to join so where’s the motivation in that? The US has the world's biggest and most advance Airforce. US to date is the only country so far with 5th generation aircraft technology, our F-22 and F-35 would own the skies within months. The US also have the world's biggest Navy. US also have the most and advance carriers in the world. 11 supercarriers in active service and 55 that have been decommission. We can easily commission those 55 supercarriers/carriers back in service and I doubt China has enough supply and work force to built 66 supercarriers in 2 years. We would also own the sea within months. With our world's best anti-missile defense system, missile won't even get in range of our carriers. US only have about 100 million soldier fit for military service while China have about 500 million. That’s only 5 to 1 plus air and naval support. Even Russia might have a better chance.
Iraq is getting with the program. The U.S. is not, but hey, it's an election year. Vote wisely.
China's Air Force is literally about 1/8th the size of the US. Not to mention the Aircraft (fighters, bombers, etc) that the US does have are technologically superior to that of China's. China has around 232 Navy ships, the US has 1,866. The US also has super carriers at their disposal. With the US being ridiculously superior in the air and sea, China's numbers don't mean much. What good is their standing army when the US can bombard from the air and sea with ease? The US has stealth bombers and other type of technology that China doesn't even come close to. When China showed signs of aggression towards Taiwan, The US sent one super carrier near China. China immediately stood down. Reality is, the US is still considered to have the best military in the world. What good is China's numbers when the US is capable of wiping out its entire army within a few weeks?
The Chinese have a history of 6000 years of non expansion and peaceful existence. The US has been involved and started in 200 years over 200 wars and conflicts, has 486 bases, many in Indonesia and Asia, close to China. If any aggression would occur, then it would be provoked by the USA. China could afford to loose more soldiers in a war, then the USA has citizens, it owns the USA financially and Chinese people can live on a handful of rice, if needed. What do you think? (By the way, the USA dropped more bombs on tiny Vietnam then in all of WW2 to no avail.)
