Finding stock yields on Yahoo Finance for a specific date?

Does anyone know how to look up a yield for a stock on a specific date... such as 6/30/07, using Yahoo! Finance? Thanks!

  1. You have to calculate it. You are probably wanting to calculate "indicated yield," i.e., the yield based upon the most recent dividend. So, look up the price using the historical price link for the specific date in question. (I assume that you know how to do this but I'll give a link with an example.) Then use the historical prices link again but look for historical dividends only. (I have a link for that too. Take the most recent dividend before the date in question. Annualize the dividend. (If it's a quarterly dividend, multiply by 4. If it's annual, just use it.) Divide the annualized dividend by the historical price and voila! Good luck.
