Book air tickets from London to Bangalore (India) using Indian currency?
I want to book air tickets from London to Bangalore (India). I am having money in Indian Rupees which I can use using debit or credit card. Is it possible to book using Indian Rupees? If so I want to know if there is any additional charge apart from the conversion rate from GBP to INR?

- If you use a British website to book your tickets, most likely they will charge in Pounds. Do you know of a travel agent in India who can book your trip? They would charge in Rupees. If your credit card is an Indian credit card and everything is charged in Rupees and you use it on a British website or British retailer who charges in Pounds, then you have to pay a conversion rate and many credit card companies charge an additional fee based on the price of the sale. In the United States, that is what our credit card company does. When I went to Canada to buy things, not only was there a conversion rate I had to pay, there was an additional "credit card processing fee" since the transaction occurred internationally. That fee was some percentage of the sale as the larger transactions had a bigger processing fee than the smaller, less expensive purchases.
- You should not be charged extra, although as you mention price conversion from GBP to INR may make a small difference. What will make a difference is whether your card can be accepted, check the website for approved payment methods, you may have to call the airline to book.
