How to get "indian money" after being recognized by the navajo nation?

I am 42 years old and just recognized by the Navajo Nation and a member of the Navajo Tribe.. I need to know who I have to call to start proceedings with the government to gain "Indian Money"

  1. You need to contact the Bureau of Indian Affairs...go to the internet and look under U.S. Government / Indian Affairs. One of my former sisters-in-law went this route, and if I knew how she made out, I would tell you, but I really don't know what the outcome was.
  2. You won't get anything out of the tribe, we don't get per-capita.
  3. wow. you didn't waste any time trying to get money huh? what have you offered the navajo nation? are you involved? have you helped any of the elders or youth? seems like you got enrolled simply because you erroneously thought you could cash in. well the jokes on you. the government does not hand out money to indians. no free college. no monthly checks. and you better continue paying taxes. the fact that you seem to feel no shame in this question is amazing. maybe you should go turn in your enrollment card and tell them you made a mistake.
