What is the cheapest and best way to send money from BC, Canada to Mumbai, India?

I have a CIBC bank account and I would like to transfer the money (CAD) to my Indian bank account (INR). I am looking for a safe, cheap option and a decent exchange rate in order to do the transfer.

1. Talk to your bank, dude. Since you have an account with them they'll probably do it for you very cheap, if not free. As far as exchange rates go, that's determined by the world bank, and is the same all over the world.
