what happened to India and the Middle east after World war One?

So, India became a British colony after the seven year war in 1757 and they had conflict with Britain about trade zones before that, then India declared independence in 1948? so what was India like under British control, how did that change after they became independent, and what was their role in World war one? So, the Ottoman empire lasted longer then the other 2 islamic gunpowder nations, but was slowly but surly dying, Serbia seperated from them with Russia's help before/ during the war? (because Russia was "the mother of all Slavs" so they saved the slavic serbians?). Britan promised the middle east to both the Palestine and the Jewish (who didn't get along) and then after the war the Middle east was divided up in to all the modern day countries? thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

  2. WW1 started India thinking it was one thing to be ruled by a tiny country with more weapons and total influence over them and anything they had but to lose millions in England's war was the last straw and sewed the seeds of independence. With the Ottoman Empire unable to pay the cost of being on the losing side in both men and cost it sealed their fate. England stirred unrest in the middle east and moved in to take over after suggesting a free Arab State in the land now up for grabs because of the Ottoman's demise. They marched into what is now Iraq and Israel. They already had Egypt and Libya thanks to Italy. When the Jews started occupying the area the Arabs in Palestine balked and England stopped the Jews from moving in. What cost this was to the Jews at the time(1940's) and the region now is according to speculation but is obvious. Only 20 years separated the time between wars and now America with it's power has been paying the price for the cost of past nation taking by Imperialist European countries. America is just an extension of Europe anyway. If not for China's loans we would have gone broke long ago. The debt we have is owed mostly to China. We bailed them out in WW2 only to have them become communist, providing cheap labor for what used to be our manufacturing base, and enjoying a lifestyle we had only in the 50's. If the world had less population all debts could and should be wiped clean in a global bankruptcy. The richest most powerful will not go for that. Their money and holdings would drop.
