Is there an organization that helps young people with personal finance?

I am looking for an organization that helps young people 23 and younger with their personal finances. I eventually would like to start my own business helping college and high school kids learn about personal finances, but I would like to know if there are any existing organizations out there.

  1. I've always found moneysavingexpert.com to be very useful. They break finance down into easy to understand chunks.
  2. http://www.money-101.com/inthemedia/oakland-tribune Welcome to the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy Jump$tart is a national coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the financial literacy of pre-kindergarten through college-age youth by providing advocacy, research, standards and educational resources. Jump$tart strives to prepare youth for life-long successful financial decision-making. In addition if you check this search on Google it looks like a bunch of states have a chapter for Jumpstart. http://www.google.com/search?q=jumpstart+coalition+financial+literacy&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a
  3. Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University is a great one!!! call his show some night and talk with him.....(just to let it be known I am not paid by or in any way associated with Dave Ramsey or any of his associates, I just have a friend that was going through these classes and now wants to teach them at their local church so I sat in and they know what they are talking about!!!)
