Can India ever overtake China's economy?

1. The Chinese economy is 4X that of India. India would have to grow far more rapidly than China for many decades for those numbers to equalize. It's mathematically possible, but economically unlikely.
2. As long as the current Congress Party Govt. and their UPA allies are controlling India, it will never happen in a billion years.
3. Based on demographics, I'd say maybe in the distant future, though certainly not any time in the next couple of decades. My guess is that in the 2nd half of the century after 2050, China will be declining, and the speculation will be about the growing US regaining the economic lead from China, and India trying to pass China also.
