Why do you feel that too less sci-fi movies are made in India?

We are eye-popped and spell bounded of the behind-the-limit thoughts and the extravagant picturisation of Hollywood movies. Most of them are sci-fi, we can say. But why do such films are seen rare in India?

1. Indians dnt hav da expertise or cash or patience 2 make sch awesum movies wich take yrs...most believe in run-of-the-mill movies !! De just dont respect real talent !!
2. It is all commercial, poor peoples of India are addicted to see a movie in which a Hero/ Heroin is shown either very poor or rich loves to a Hero/ Heroin either very poor or rich. It gives them psychological satisfaction for their poverty.
3. NOBODY KNOWS. but we can guess. my opinion indian movie producers believe they want to watch masala movies all the time, and sci-fiction can be made in lower budget also but if we hear any director working on sci fiction film we assume its high budget. so everybody think sci fiction needs high budget. let say indian cinema making low budget sci fiction with great story, who will watch it? how many people will understand?? its just what i think
4. We were not bad in extravagant picturisation. All the Sci-Fi pictures have come now in English. But its a long time when we had TV serials like Ramayan / Mahabharat; Movies like Mughal were presented extravagantly. Movies made can only be matching the mindset of people in the country. If movies made are flops, no point in taking them. right.?
