How likely will India's economy surpass China's?

China is decades ahead on India right now according to economists.However, will India every surpass China's economy to have the largest economy of the world?

1. Since China's economy is more than 4x the size of India's, it would would take decades for that to happen. Predictions that far out would be simply wild guesses. If you want to take a wild guess, I'd say, yes. But only because the answer "never" cannot be demonstrated as correct.
2. India will surpass China's population, so eventually it is reasonable to expect that they will surpass China's GNP at some point. But not for a long time.
3. Over Chinese dead bodies.
4. In 1947, China's economy was decades behind India's. Now it is decades ahead of India. It is because India does not have a government (who knows how to govern) since 1947 except for a five year gap. It will take BJP's continuous rule for at least 40 years for India to surpass China which I don't think can happen. Indian National corruption party may not know how to govern but they sure know how to get votes.
