Amway Products: Are they for benefiting India or suppressing India?

Amway Products claim that they are genuine products made by completer and effective utilisation of natural plants. They tell that they have discovered their products - Soaps, detergents, food supplements, etc- by experimentation It is well known fact that our ancient Indian Medicine and life suggested using of NATURAL PRODUCTS only for benefiting life. All that has been said in our Siddha and Ayurvedic treatments, these people are trying to bring out in the form of tablets as food supplements. Again, our ancsetors used natural products for washing and home use. They are bringing back the use of enzymes as their discovery. They claim that they harness using natural products as manure. All the aforementioned processes have been diminshed from Indian soil purely due to the advent of colonisation and Western culture. Globalisation further worsened the scenario. People have started using artificial products. Now, they are re-introducing our products to ourselves. People keep their mouths wide open on hearing their demonstration and run behind them for buying these products. They are also interested in the chain marketing introduced. Why can not people understand that they are selling their own old gold ideas back to them? How can we prevent the advent of this company to spoil Indian industry? How can we make people aware of their target? @ Veers: You are correct Sir. We have very few experts in Siddha and Ayur Veda @ Kandasamy: Nice point. Be Indian; Buy Indian is only for people. Not for the Government!! This Question raised in my mind as I am trying to avoid one of my closest friends, an Amway agent, just because he forces me to buy their product!!

  1. We can't do anything dear friend. If we say the truth and try to convince people you know what they will say??? "Adhukella time illapaa, approm paakalam" So why the FCK namma poi evanungala thiruthanum...Yeppadiyo pogattum vidunga boss. We don't use them.
  2. We should use only those products which are good for body and pocket.
  3. Amway is a way paved to loot Indian economy! Edit: Dear Poondi B Sir, I am not accepting even our native medicine for cure. Our native medicines are of high value herbs and metals. These things can work well for initial stages or for preventive medicines and definitely not for advanced stage health problems. In Siththa, I believe metals are used after calcification. In Tamil ‘PUDAM’. In fact some metals need to be calcified for more than 100 times to actually used as medicine for immediate relief as per Siththars. But present trends are such our Siththa Doctors are calcifying only once or twice. Such low calcified metals never cure any problem and eventually induce kidney problem. I am with asthma for the past 20 years and none of the native medicine or the so called AMWAY which is highly expensive has also not at all worked to me. The final remedy is allopathic and asthma is in perfect control. At least local native medicines are not that much expensive comparing AMWAY products and both are not helpful in curing or controlling. Allopathic is certified by probably WHO and is tested and proved. Hence I said AMWAY is way for looting Indian economy as hundreds of AMWAY agents are virtually chasing and forcing us to buy their products at exorbitantly high cost. Since the agents are some how known earlier, with a view to respect them we are unnecessarily trapped. Hen one course of 6 months dose doesn’t work; we are forced to avoid those agents. Ultimate result, money earned by AMWAY and we lost relations with the agent who is already known because of this AMWAY! (AMWAY never worked for me and allopathic worked well) I am equally blaming 'native' trend, and at least the money circulation is within and we can take steps to stop through local judiciary.
  4. How come discerning people like Veers are also one sided in their judgements? Friends, the major problem with our native wonders not picking is basically our utter disregard for local expertise. Thottathu mooligai is never honoured. Kiliyaattam pondaatti, korangattuam vaippaatti also says indirectly that the infatuaton with ugly 'other woman' is more intense than the natural beauty of the 'wife'.. These are not just jokes but highly relevent messages about our weaknesses.. OK. When at length people started talking about the wonders of our native herbs and all spreading the awareness of their noble values in wholesome cures - albeit slowly and steadily - free from any adverse side effects, people started to swarm to Sidha and Ayurvedic centres, like me.. You know what I met with? extreme exploitation is in vogue in most popular centres of native meds. I had to cough up two thirds of my pension for my multiple joint pains to a Sidha practitioner doing brisk business and got popular through TV inteviews. Later I stopped the prolonged therapy - in spite of some good impacts - due to utter inabiliity to cope with the bills for meds, fees, physio etc It was on par with allopathy in expense and did have some side effects due to some faulty doses which were reversed on feed backs. Also look at the advice of native Med experts appearing in the health columns. they mention all sort of herbs not available in the urban areas or even some herbal stores and explain long tedious procedures to prepare them at home. why not spell out some proprietary Med of Imcops or reputed Co if they can be availed across the counter? In case personal examination of the patient is necessary, they should advice so. My exxperience with half a dozen native Drs in four decades between my 20's and 60's (age) was that no Dr examined my Naadi (pulse beats) or ever touched me. They simply looked into Allopathic reports or oral complaints of patients and prescribed list of lehium, tabs, powders, oils etc costing a few 000's, to last a month. You hardly would afford a second review with most of these people. No wonder people go to the known devils, the allopaths or the Amway type of hi profile marketers of health formulas..! I beg to be apologised by precious few effective and honest native physicians who could be around, whom average persons do not access due to lack of publicity. The ones publicising are often too commercial and not intent on looking at the capacity of their patients to spend. They also are eager to sell costly preparations in their own 'Research centre's (Almost all native Drs call their clinic a Research Centre claiming to give their special formulae, just to avoid revealing the contents. They give codes only in their prescription to the staff who would tell the cost and method of using the preparation etc. These Drs would ape the popular foreign educated allopath consultants in using fewest words). Then Veers how can we blame the people who take advantage of the situation arising out of this 'native' trend? @ thanks Veers for elaborate clarification. You are indeed true in the points placed here.
  5. AMWAY, AMWAY appidigiraangalae, enna Anna adhu ???
  6. i have a difference of opinion sorry for beinng frank I am of the type of counting only vadai and not the holes! If a product is useful to me and it is reachable and in the stiff marketting competition it suits me I purchase it Again I believe the medicines told in ancient languages like siddha or herbal and usages of various edible products and their medical values But everybody give their own explanations and one word has got so many meanings and some people in ancient times are playing with tricks Esample iru kurangin kai oditthu ............. used for musumusukkai Even vedhas or mahabharathas ramayanas there are different explanations for different situations and which one is actually correct? sorry I don't have knowledge and time When I buy a product i try it and if satisfied that is cost and use i continue to purchase until i get a better or cheaper product usesful for that purpose colonisation globalisation western culture ......in using a paste or soap ........... this much thinking i don't use Take the advertisement s of some products they show that a dirty cloth shines like a new one after washing in their soap that much easily are people looking at them with their mouth wide open? REGARDING MARKETING chain ...it is their strategy and they do it some people if indulge in brain washing for some small commission it is their "talent" Well let me ask one question our rulers as well as their enemies all of them shout in such a way that their mouth and throat are torn( vaai kizhiya, thondai kizhiya katthukiraarkal) be indian and buy indian THEY WHY DID THEY IMPORT SUGARS/DHALL FROM FOREIGN COUNTRIES/? why they beg for foreign investments ? why they welcome foreign technologies I am a man of practical thinking Sorry I always speak frankly that is why most people hate me i don't want to hurt anybody's sentiment if my words are hurting any body i am always ready to apologise! But it is the practical way of life and it is all in the game!
  7. Amway products in the US, where originated, are represented by the right wing and ultra right wing of political fanaticism. There is a mean spirited fear mongering fascist agenda throughout Amway regardless of all their claims to purity. Amway is also a pyramid scheme which is attractive to some, but who may recognize the fascism in Amway structure only later. Amway is a Trojan Horse where ever it is. Invite it in at your own risk. The actual products seem quite good which is the only way they could get away with this, but just don't look the other way when they show up at your home or business. Amway is emblematic of the very worst that the US has to offer.
  8. i am an avid fan of amway products. i am also earning by using these products. people suffering from life-style diseases have benefited. instead of being bogus idealist try to be practiccal. at least don't kill others' dreams.
