What is the difference between a tubular battery and an SMF battery?
Is tubular battery also a kind of SMF (sealed maintenance free) battery? If not, how does lifetimes of these two compare (assume products made in India)? Which one is safe for indoor use (for inverters)?

- tubular batteries r with this openings at top to add distilled water for maintenance and safe running of the batteries!...wheras the smf(sealed maintenance free) ones r sealed completely..say like a normal pencil battery....tubular batteries r rugged and used in heavy end....trucks,household and lost of other areas of uses! smf batteries r smaller and used in lower end uses like ups, inverter and emergency lights.... for indoor use go for the sealed ones but they r expensive compared to tubular!!!
