Why Stock Prices are delayed by 15 Minutes in Websites ?

Many sites including Google finance and Yahoo finance delays stock quotes by 15-20 minutes ? Why this cant be Real time data ? The excahnges sites (NASDAQ, NSE, BSE ) also delays 15 minute ? Where i can get real time ticker ? with specifics t to India (BSE,NSE, NCDEX)

1. sites delay time as because they have to download price and index movement of millions of scrips at a particular time and there are also time zone for every contries....they have to first download the price data and then post them into there website alongwith comments, which causes delay for them. meanwhile, u can try these links www.moneycontrol.com www.nseindia.com www.bseindia.com
