Getting an attack notification from my firewall while using yahoo finance?
I have been doing homework using yahoo finance and every 5 minutes I get a notification from my Outpost Firewall that an IP address is trying to attack my comp... I did a reverse IP search and it turns out its coming from yahoo in Sunnyvale, Ca... Whats the deal here? Is this a real threat?

- Sounds like a faults alarm to me. Your using yahoo finance. So your directly connected to a yahoo server. Stands to reason that there server would be contacting your computer.
- These 'attacks' are a very common occurrence; it's usually just bots seeking open ports, or low security on a system & not something directed to you (but it is possible). Turn off the 'notifications' about them or you'll go crazy. Not sure where it's in Outpost; try Tools, Preferences or Settings.
