Who has been in an Indian (India) Wedding?

My cousin(female) just married a wealthy Indian (India) man. I absolutely am in love with his family, they are all so great! Since the wedding last Saturday i have been completely obsessed with Indian culture, i find it extremely fascinating :) just a few questions-- do the grooms shoes usually get stolen and then returned for money in exchange? because we (myself and 5 other bridesmaids) had to do that hahaha. tell me some of your stories!! i would love to hear what other ppl think of this INCREDIBLE ceremony.

1. Yup I had been to some Indian wedding of my friend. They very vastly, as India is a land of many culture and ethnicity. The Bengali wedding is quite different from south indian wedding. But at the end of the everyone simply loves it and have a lot of fun. So far the weddings that I have attended, the grooms shoe is always stolen. Very unique and different from our western weddings, isn't it?
