(I am an Indian working as a nurse in Bahrain, I have a Bank account in Bahrain as well as in India, which bank statement I should show?) Alternatively, can I show a joint bank statement with my Husband? Would I have to show the settlement funds at the time of submitting my application, or at a later date? At what point of the application process , they ask for proof of settlement funds? Please help me on this ...Thanking you

- YES - you MUST show proof of those funds at the time you submit the application and then KEEP them safe for use when you land in Canada. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp You can pay the funds at any time during the process after you have submitted - the earlier, the better. You can even pay when you apply - that would be best. With 3 members in your family - you need to show that you have CAN $16,580 saved up. You can leave it in the bank and just show a recent bank statement (the day before you leave for Canada is fine) - in english - and with currency conversion. As long as your debit cards have the PLUS sign on the back, you can access the money though ATMs here in Canada. You will lose out on the conversion though. Alternatively you can have a bank draft for some or all of the money, but if it is for more than CAN $10,000 then you must report it to the imigration authories and show proof show you got that money.
- All what you get on a discussion forum are guess works. why dont you take services of a good immigration consultant who would guide you through the process? put in you city on this board and i would suggest you one.
