What made India win yesterday?

1.India's opening partnership..Both Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar stayed for almost 20 overs and provided a solid partnership.The run rate was less but it did prove vital. 2.Dhoni's decision to send Dravid at top and his move to bat at no3. 3.Sachin's stay till almost 46overs . 4.Yuvraj's aggressiveness and his stay at the crease despite loss of wickets of Sachin,Yusuf,Pathan. 5.Bhajji's 5 wickets-particularly Dilshan's wicket and Kandamby in the later stages. 6.R.P.Singh's only wicket of Sangakkara which was a hit wicket and was crucial as the sri lankans had a good run rate but less wickets in hand.

3. The two veterans opening the batting sent shivers down the spine of the Sri Lankans. They got off to a solid start without giving away a cheap wicket. To win a game of cricket it is vital that there are partnerships and thats what India demonstrated last night. Tendulkar batting through the innings was vital as well because he had his eye in and he was used to the conditions rather than others coming in at the end and adapting. That was crucial. Harbhajans first wicket was crucial just to calm the nerves of the players and to lower the run rate. That wicket, to me changed the match. But it was a true team effort!
4. If I say, all these + the toss, will you take it? As everybody knows the toss played a crucial role. But having won it they had to play well, and that they did. Dhoni has this happy knack of springing surprises...like sending in Dravid at the top, then he came at no 3 when everybody expected Yuvi to come out and that unsettled the SLankan bowlers especially their main spin bowler, and you saw what happened. I think 320 was the final nail, and whatever the Slankan batters did was just not enough
5. While all the factors listed by you were instrumental for india's wion, most credit should be given to the century of Sachin Tendulkar and 5 wicket haul of Harbhajan Singh.

7. 1-Sachin's century (this inns was the difference making factor) 2-Bhajji's 5-fer (he really held the nerve and took the wickets when mattered most) 3-Toss (it wouldn't be placed above the heroic performances by Bhajji and Sachin because you still have to perform to win even when you get a slight advantage with toss which i don't deny India got)
