Do you think this is possible to revise the list of communities fit for reservation?

Dr. Ambedkar suggested reservations about 60 years ago in Indian constitution for a period of 10 years, for the upliftment of totally deprived and suppressed castes. At that time only few castes were there in the Reservation schedule. Now every caste wants to be in the list of SC or ST. This reservations split the society based on status, economy, vote bank and so on. Now is the time to wake up, to revise the lists of communities in the Scheduled Caste. Among the Schedule, some of the castes have attained substantial progress, socially, officially, economically, politically and all grounds. It is true that they claim superiority over the other SC castes. Do you think this is possible to revise the list of communities fit for reservation?

1. yoiu can not revise without amendment of constitution as they are defined in the constitution and for amendment of constituion you need 2/3rd majority in lok sabha
2. well answered Pramod J I think it should be removed rather revised because most of the time it is misused And also the talented people stay behind only because their caste is not SC or ST This more than half century old rule should be revised or removed..
3. Every caste wants to be in the list of SC or St states that this is the most unfortunate event in India. This is the downfall not upfall . It seems that castes are interested in going down rather than going up. There should be changes in the constitution since it is 60 years back. Modifications are needed and it is based on the UK system. Each nations has their constitutions based on their needs. Indians need constitutions based for them and their needs. Instead of reserving for ST or SC why cannot be there for reservation for all the poorer section of all the castes ? Why there cannot be reservation for the poor brahmin kids or poor kshatriya kids or poor vaishya kids or poor ST or SC kids ? Not all the upper 3 castes are rich. By keeping reservation for only ST or SC , these groups are mentally going down in the eyes of society. There are more gap between SC or St and the upper castes. There are now educated SC or ST who are earning good incomes and now there should be no reservation for them. Let there be reservation for all the poorer section of all the castes and be equal for all .
4. India is Democracy. India is NOT Meritocracy. Since Hinduism is a covert mask for Casteism, Indian Parliament must amend constitution to promote cultural and socio-economic DIVERSITY in Private Institutions,Temples,Judiciary and in Defense Services. * 50% of Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from OBC communities. * 35% Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from Dalits and Tribals. * 15% of Priests,Supreme Court Judges,Defense Staff must be from OTHER Castes. India must have reservations **TILL** 85% of all registered marriages in India are INTER-CASTE. This is the only way to STOP dis-integration of India.
