What should I put on my buddy's travel mix CD?

My buddy's travelling to India, and before he goes, I want to make him a mix CD. I'm looking for some cool "i'm heading somewhere" feeling songs (the lyrics don't have to be road-trip related or anything -- they just have to have a feel that makes you want to strap on a backpack and climb something) for a travel mix CD, and also some mellow "chillin' on a beach" music for, you know, chillin' on a beach. What songs should I include? Unique choices win extra points.

2. well for the climbing the mountain side definately power ballads like "Drove all night","total eclipse of the heart" and also some dance tunes like cascada,tiesto........for the mellow chillout i also find jack johnson excellent,il divo and James Blunt.....depends what ur into really i guess
3. there is a song with the lirics - 'here I go again on my own, down the only road I ever know, like a drifter I walk alone...' you get the idea, but its a really good song, I think it is the white snakes that sang it, it was on a monster ballads CD. Any way thats one that I would listen to! - hope he has a good trip!
