If your a certain percent of Indian do you get free money?

My great grandmother was 1/2 Cherokee Indian. On my other side my great great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee Indian. I have heard if you can prove your 1/16 Indian you are entitled to free money. Does anyone know if that's true? And if so, any web sites or info. Thank You.

2. My girlfriend has some Cherokee, she can get some scholar ships and such to go to college, other than that I don't think so. ...if anyone wants to give me free money for being Nicaraguan, I'd be much obliged. Xp
