Economy on the BRIC's?
Can anyone tell me about the merits of GNI per capita vs. the idea of purchasing power using human development as indictors for the economic potential of Brazil, Russia, china and India?

- The Economic potential is quite High, but so will be the cost. Will the Cost be so high that a war of biblical proportions will develop?....The future is uncertain!
- The use of GNI or GNP per capita as an indicator of economic potential of Brics has shortcomings. These have limited scope and do not capture the overall potential. The measure lacks validity because of exchange rate distortions, existence of underground economies and statistical shortcomings. Human development index is a broader comparative measure of life expectancy, literacy, education, and standards of living for countries worldwide. cc
