Will we see Tesla motors become more popular in the near future?

they make cars that are fuel efficient and less harmful to the environment as where ford, GM and Chrysler has left it a bit too late! What type of car company will we see in the next year or five years from now that will become successful and others fail? will we see a new car from India that will become a big seller!

1. Battery electric cars won't be popular... hydrogen cars are the future.
2. Since this is in the 'philosophy" category, can we assume you are just being philosophical?
3. I believe that it is only a matter of time. We have to do something before we run out of fuel. In addition to having an alternate fuel source, we are going to have to accept that we can no longer have the luxury of driving our cars to and from work on a daily basis and do something to create a public transportation system that works--like the ones in Germany and Japan. We have to do something before we completely destroy our world.
