Currency Note / Bill Bundling?

In India the Currency Notes are bundled in 100 pieces and stictched or banded togther into bundles. The Central Bank of the country called the Reserve Bank of India has now issued instructions not to pierce the bundles. But due to lack of confidence even banks continue to do the same today. How do other countries bundle their currency notes/bills? I do not find even a single piercing in dollar bundles. Do they just band it? Or they have some other method to keep bundles of money togther. In India just banding do not
