Do California tribal member receiving Indian gaming money claim it on their taxes as income?

1. Yes, it can also effect their eligibility for income-based services such as LIHEAP and subsidized rent.
2. What has brought this up? This question has come up several times today and I have not seen it previously. The income is taxed at ordinary rates and is routinely reported.
