Is it possible to transfer money from a US account to Indian account?

I have indian bank account, and wil be having a US bank account.. is it possible to transfer the money from US bank to Indian bank account or convert money from dollars to rupee?.

2. Take your wire information to the US bank. You'll need the name of the Indian bank, the name of the account, account number, ABA number, and the SWIFT code for the Indian account. Expect a wire fee of up to or around $40. The Indian bank can provide you with all that info if you don't have it.

4. it is quite simple, go to your banks branch in us and tell them u want to send money to india. they will do everything for you. thats all u have to do.
5. India welcomes the NRI money or the foreign exchange as many money you have all you can transfer it to India from USA, As the USA banks are not safe so transfer it fast before Your usa bank gets bankrupt
6. yep ........thru bank you can transfer definitely or else you can send thru western union money transfer too................no need of any bank account ...........in both countries.....the person can have to collect it from Indian western union branch......and western union is spread out in whole india ..........
