2. Air Travel in and out of India is growing at a rapid speed. There is a need to construct more airports both Domestic and International to cater for the needs and also modernise the existing Airports. govt of India has taken adequate steps in this direction. The opening of new International moder Airports at Hyderabad and Bangalore are the examples. the Modernisation of Mumbai and Delhi airports are in progress. the other major Airports at Chennai and Kolkata are also being started for modernisation. With these measures India will improve its economy as more and amore foreign Airlines will operate to India getting rich revenues.
3. International airports are the gateways to our country and a visitor's first impression of the country is of the airport he or she lands in. Till the construction of the new airports at Hyderabad and Bangalore, our big country did not have a single airport of international standard. Airports in our metros were no match to those in Dubai, Shanghai or Singapore. Better airport facilities will also help in inceased cargo traffic. Increased exports and tourism is definitely better for the nation's economy. There are many countries in this world whose main income is from tourism. With so many natural scenic places to see and man-made monuments to admire, we are not able to attract much tourists, because of our filthy towns and cities, ill-behaved auto and taxi drivers, etc.
