  1. i would buy a tata 2500$ car but i wouldnt buy a jag or a rover in general
  2. just give me a Caddy
  3. Well, look at it this way. When ford owned it, the two brands were low selling, overpriced, lacked luxury, and basically, ford killed the brand. So what difference does it make by having it being killed by someone from india? The way i see it, tata did them a favor: Now we can blame something NON american for killing the name, AND the tree's that the range rovers consume
  4. Tata is a multinational corporations, and owns many other industries ranging from Tires, paint, salt, Tea and largely Steel. It's wealth accounts for 3-4% of India's total GDP. For now, all workers currently in Britain who design the Jaguar and Land Rover cars are being retained, so as far as design goes it should remain the same for some time. In addition, manufacturing is still being performed in England, so it wouldn't mean that these luxury cars are being both designed and made in India. Ratan Tata said that they will always remain "BRITISH BRANDS" under Indian ownership. Tata has a strong reputation for Innovation and bringing life to dying companies. The whole incentive to buy Jaguar and Land Rover for Tata was so that it could learn to enhance its other car designs. Furthermore, Ford will be providing support for several years in the future for the cars, and Tata also has Fiat to help them in the design sector. Frankly, it is too early to judge a company without seeing what it has on the market yet. People initially had reservations about Japanese cars when they came to North America back in the 60s and 70s, but now they are dominating the market. Who knows, other manufacturers from other countries can have the potential to do the same.
