would it be easy to buy a decent traveling backpack once I get to India?
I need a good travel backpack, like backpackers where when they travel around India. They are really expensive here in the US - like $200 and more! If I simply show up in India with my stuff in a sack, would I be able to buy a nice backpack there? Do they carry the same kind of backpacks I can get here (most products are made in the third world anyway, so I'm guessing yes). I'm guessing that if I just to to the backpackers ghetto in Delhi (Paharganj) there will be stores that cater to backpackers' needs. I'd just like for someone to confirm this. Also, what sort of price range would I be looking at for a backpack in India? Thanks.

- I'm guessing 'no' because backpackers already have a pack. I certainly wouldn't risk it. Whilst items may be made in countries such as India, that doesn't mean they're sold there. For your info, $200 is NOT expensive for a good backpack. I bought a new one recently (my last one fell apart at the handles after more than 15 years of a lot of use) and I paid £200 for a replacement; that's $400.
- yes you can take but I am not sure about the cost it need to be checked ... you can ask this kind of things from your travel agent who is planning your tour or you can visit www.holidayclubindia.net
