i am travelling to india. can i use an american made 12v car inverter in an indian car.?

i'm curious whether their cars run on 12v power as american cars do. i will be in hyderabad and the surrounding rural areas.

1. that should not be a problem, unless you're driving a 1960 vw bug (those are 6V) all of the modern cars are running with a 12V system, so plug in, enjoy.
