Modern Indian music-good source?

I like Indian music, modern stuff not old school. Indian as from India, NOT native american. I have no friends that like this music. I do not know where I got to like it from but I think it is beautiful, even if I do not understand the lyrics. I would like to make a CD of some songs that are upbeat and lively could someone give me the names of some good artists and or songs? Even a site to listen to the music would be appreciated.
