sending money from maldives to uk? Hi, I'm currently teaching out in the Maldives, and as I'm only here for 11 months I still have all my UK bank accounts and my dreaded credit card, which I still need to make payments to. I was a little naive about sending money home, I thought it would be a fairly straightforward thing to do. However, the local currency is tied to the dollar and only available to be bought in country. The only place to exchange money into dollars/sterling is at the Bank Of Maldives who have told me that there is restrictions on foreigners changing money, and for the foreseeable future they won't exchange ruffiya into dollars for us. So, rather panicking at the moment. I've been given conflicting information about whether the bank will send money as well, some say yes, some say only if I have a dollar bank account. Any ideas? I know there's Western Union but I'm a day's boat ride away from the capital. The Indian expat teachers use the Bank of India, but obviously that's not an option for me and I'm a bit worried Thanks

The King and the Corpse - Indian riddles? If any Indian person (or not Indian) happens to know this tale, can he/she account where it comes from? There is a riddle about a widowed woman wandering with her little daughter. A dying thief marries her in exchange for the location of a hidden treasure. A Brahmin makes her beget a son in exchange for money and a King fosters this son including 1000 gold pieces. Now, when the prince goes to honor the memory of his deceased father, 3 specters appear to claim the offering: the thief, the Brahmin and the King... Into whose hands should the prince place the offering? I answered the King, because he was the person he learned to call father and who educated him and loved him... But looks like my subjective logic may not be right... Can u comment something on the right answer?

It may take several months/year. I may have to apply to the Reserve Bank of India for changing the funds to C$. I wish to know when I should let Canadian Authorties know about the money. Should it be when I receive money in local currency or when I transfer the funds to Canada. Also what hapens to the interest gained in local currency. Will it be liable for canadian tax. I may be paying the local Indian Income tax on the interest earned.

Population exchange and Racism? England has historically been pro-immigration, which is why so many millions left for India, Australia, Hong Kong, USA etc. There are approx 60 million Brits on the other continents. Why is it that there has been so much hostility towards immigrants to the UK, e.g say the 1.5 million Indians living in the UK , when most British people didnt have a problem settling down in India? About 90% of Australia is White, predominantly British, and most are 1st , 2nd or 3rd generation and came during the "White Policy era" which ended in Australia in 1975. How can people morally justify being against immigration to Europe, when there are only 15 million from other continents living in Europe??? There is ½ billion Europeans on the other continents. 93% of Argentina is White, 85% of Canada and so on , so how about a POPULATION EXCHANGE to satisfy BNP supporters? Then the 15 million people from other continents who came to Europe in the 20th century can return home and the 500 million from Europe on the other continents who arrived on those continents in the 20th century can return home? Alternatively , racist attacks on Indians in UK/Australia and such countries can come to an end , and they can accept they exploited India for 200 years and took Indian tax payers money and now repay few of them back via charity - and we can all be happy that there are Whites on the other continents , and Blacks in Europe - which is GLOBAL HARMONY and UNITY IN DIVERSITY

transfer money to Singapore from India? I need to transfer around 3000 SGD to Singapore from India. My favorite money exchange site (xe.com) does not accept INR purchases :( Xe is one of the best sites to transfer money internationally and I have used it in the past to transfer Euros, AUD, USD but never INR. (I get the best exchange rate on XE compared to Western union, bank transfer, etc). What are the other options for me. It seems that it is next to impossible to send money FROM India.. (even a few $).. However, the Indian govt. has no issues when receiving huge amounts of money from abroad. It is a real hassle. Can anyone suggest a way?

What was your 1st thinking on INDIAN INDEPENDENCE DAY? ? The 61st. Independence Day was celebrated with Pompous show as usual at RED FORT-DELHI. (The costs never informed to Public) With colourful presentations from Women Caddets in Red, White & Green strips (A Human Tricolour) many were not of the opinion that, we in India in real sense have the Freedom to decide?. f.e.g. The Indians with Indian PASSPORT-living abroad do not have the fundamental right of VOTING out side India?(Whereas many EU Countrys this facility is available) though the statistik mentioned few days back that 250 Mio. Indians live abroad, yet we dream of FREEDOM? Similarly forum on this must have many other ideas on the issue of INDEPENDENCE DAY & CELEBRATION, or any other alternative views? 2nd e.g. The mission offices abroad- do not invite all Indians for Flaghoisting ceremony, nor the festival of FREEDOM- other than their Economical groups for exchange of news & views on Capitol issue of MONEY & BUSINESS? despite the fact this was repeatedly complaind to the PM / THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA since Millenium year.
Any hair weave-wearers tried idol Indian Remi Yaki Hair? Serious answers plz and thank you! :)? I just bought this brand called "idol Indian Remi Yaki 100% Human Hair" by Chade, Inc. I've never ever ever ever tried this hair before, and it's new to the hair shop that I go to for weave. Can someone who's had this weave, or tried another human hair item of theirs, let me know if this was a wise purchase?? He gave it to me for the low-low, I guess because he was introducing it to his store and wanted people to buy it... I looked online and the regular price for the 18 in. was, like, 87 bucks on this one website--and I heard that "you get what you paid for" when you buy weaves. (with the exception of Bobbi Boss Ocean Wave, which I paid too much money for and it tangled like a biotch and sheddddd!!) Thanks for any [serious] input in advance. I still have an opportunity to exchange it for something else before I get my hair done, and I don't like to waste my money--especially on a bad batch weave.
Baby Shower Drama: Should I give a gift back to the giver or exchange it for somethin I want? I had a baby shower where my fiance's mother and my friend bought me a pack in play. However, my friend's gift had a changing table and higher play part for an infant and when the child gets older you can take th higher part out and use it regularly where as his mother's was more so for a toddler only. Right when I recieved the gift, the mother automically said that the one she bought should go to her house. Not only did she say it once but multiple times as I was finishing the card. I thought that it was very unappropiate for her to even suggest that yet only at the exact time I was getting it. She asked me what I was going to do and I kindly said that we may exchange one of them for something that we still need, I do not know. She was more so "ok" in a sarcastic manner. It is kind of a given that you recieve simliar gifts at a baby shower but it should be up to the mother of the child on what she does with them. It has been two weeks and I did not know it was still an issue. My fiance came in one day out of the blue and was saying that it was so careless and wrong of me to wanting to exchange her gift and that I should give it to her so she can use it. I would not have a problem if she wanted to take it and exchange it for something we needed or even keep it but buy another gift since she took it back but to expect me to give it to her when I still do not have a stroller and other items is ridiculous. I think it also has to do with her basically suggesting to take back her gift during the baby shower without even giving me the opportunity to decide what I was going to do with MY gift before her rude and trifling suggestion. I decided to give the indian giver back her gift but I am very upset with my fiance for implicating that I was rude for wanting to add the gift to the money in order to buy another item that we needed instead of giving it back to his mom b/c she bought it. I feel that it was tastless and ghetto. Am I wrong for feeling the way I do?
name of indian movie? we r watching an indian movie in geography for our asia-pacific topic. i dont know wat its called and i really wanna know now coz its frustrating me... - people on a hotel train - including queen - theif guy drops from an areroplane with parachute - theif dresses up as queen - steals her crown - leaves his signature A behind - guards find out n chase him on the roof of the train. lots of guns and tumbling - theif escapes (another scene) - undercover cop on a yellow motor bike comes outta tropical tees and lands on a boat - exchanges a bag for money - people on boat find out he is a cop, coz they do not find illegal explosives in the bag - other cop coomes outta nowhere on a water scooter and land on the boat - saves other cop. lots of guns, fighting and escape boat goes up in flames. i hope 2 scenes were enough info.... if u want a better explanation and have time to read it... first scene: shows long train in desert. inside train is the queen, guards, adults and kids. it is one of the kids birthdays. the queen is with them. 2 guards r standing outside one room in the train that has the crown jewels. areoplane goes by. theif (called aryan?) drops outta the sky with a parachute and lands on top of train. disguises himself as queen. goes past the 2 guards steals crown. goes to roof of train. then the real queen comes by looking for the kids who were playing hide and seek. the guards realise that the other queen was a theif. the guards look in room, room has no crown but only an A is left behind. all the guards race to the top of train and shoot and fight and tumble and theif gets away.
Question about foreign exchange rates..Please help? Today, 1 USD= 46.55 India rupee 1 USD= 1.266 Australian dollar Indian people in USA will have huge money (in India rupee) when they come back to India as 1 USD=46.55 INR. Whereas Australians living in USA will not get that much money when they come back to Australia as 1 USD= 1.266 AUD. What does it signify? Do Australians working in USA will not get much benfit as Indians working in USA. Please correct me if my logic is wrong.
are you Indian? if you think you are Indian why dont you read it further? Dear friend, It is high time we rise to the occasion. Terrorism is eating away our national security and integrity. We are all soldiers who have the responsibility to protect our country. Now that we have seen our coastal areas are not properly protected, our airspace is also not safe. No ghastly terrorist attack can be carried out without the logistical support and local sympathy. It is with utmost pain that I have to say that there are traitors inside the country who are bloody rogues, eating away the very breast that they feed on. We have to be vigilant towards enemies inside the border and we should empower the security agencies who are our national assets. We should also petition the governments to provide adequate funds and infrastructure to the men in uniform both civilian and armed. Is it not painful to see our brave- hearts bleeding in their duty to protect the people of India? We, the people of India should stand shoulder to shoulder with our Jawans and tell them if not with you; we are always behind you to support them as well as their families. The shameless politicians hike their pay and perks without a single whisper in the parliament but when it comes to settle the anomalies in the pay structure in armed forces they whimper in pain to give away the funds. The police officers who sacrificed their lives battling the terrorists had no improvised bullet proof jackets. I wonder why the governments have not provided them the required funds to purchase the jackets. Our police constables are still roaming around with 5 feet long traditional gun, whereas the terrorists are in possession of AK 47 and other ammunitions duly funded by organized enemies of the nation. No individual can avail of such modern weapons and technical gadgets without State Sponsorship. Look at Israel – a nation built on will power surrounded by ever hungry wolves who feed on human blood. Still they dare the enemies to challenge their nationhood. We, Indians will not seek anybody’s peril but we should not be seen as easy kill. A country is known by its people. Indians should exhibit the attitude to warn the enemies that they will not be spared if they threaten our nationhood. Every body can not and need not go to the front to fight the war but every citizen can contribute to the Defense of the country. The teachers should prepare citizens with courage and sense of integrity towards nation. The technicians should help in building the modern techniques to support strategic base of the country. The scientists, as they are doing, should discover and invent new technology in all spheres of science so that the country is strengthened scientifically. If the scientists invent new technologies we can make use of it to earn good foreign exchange. If the dangerous diseases are found vaccines to cure, we can help poor countries and sell the medicine to rich countries. Space scientists should try to take control of the skies. The youth of the nation should do all that is possible to booster the country’s position because ‘strength respects strength’. The rich students who come to colleges in cars and spend thousands of money in merry making should also think of sponsoring poor students for higher education. The rich students can boast of helping some precious brains of India. The greedy people who keep black money can reduce their guilt by donating money to fund meritorious student’s higher education and researches. The affluent class of India should modify their lifestyle so that they can spend less on luxury and use the same money in persuasion of socialism. The dishonest babus can, at least, decrease the magnitude of corruption. Corruptionless society is our ultimate motto but it is easier said than done. We all Indians should understand and enlighten others that Dirty Politics and Corruption does also have its bearing on escalating terrorism. The sympathizers and fund raisers of terrorism residing in rich countries will not die a good death. The States sponsoring terrorism will perish sooner or later as we saw in Iraq, Afghanistan and now Pakistan. Some of our neighbors like China may be smiling behind the curtains at our state of affairs. The world knows the all-weather-friendship of China and Pakistan. Days are not too far when Chinese will realize they were feeding a bad snake. Why won’t some Indians think of disguised action against the masterminds of terrorism? Let us not kill innocent people but we have all the rights to avenge for our national loss of people, property and pride. The western countries should change their policies towards other countries. Better they stop building their fortune by selling arms and ammunition. Is it not nasty thing? They supply the same guns and bombs to two warring parties and see the bleeding of human beings. They build their riches by the ill found money from selling weapons of mass destruction. They fish in troubled waters. They should start thinking why they are
Is S.Patil's resighination enough as an appology for the attacks in mumbia? he has cost India many lost lives and millions maybe billions of Rupee's in Stock exchange losses, money lost for two days as ppl were to scared to go to work and Bussinesses not opening, and the amount of damage done to the Indian tourist industry. Is just him resighning enough? as after all he can carry on his normal life but others who died and made losses in economy can not. What do you think?
Does anyone know where you can download a FREE version of the FULL roller coaster tycoon 2 or 3 but ONLINE???? I've seen a similar question with the answer, "Get friends or family to buy it so its free for u." Not gonna work. I come from an Indian background where money isn't exchanged between members of the household. I also saw limewire as an answer. I dunno how limewire works but if someone can explain how to download the FULL FREE game (versions 2 or 3, expansion packs appreciated) with limewire, that would be awesome. Thanks! Hi also i dont know if theres a limit on your answer but i dont think so, so write away! But most importantly about the limewire thing. One guy suggested using a bittorrent client. The thing is i dont know about bittorrent clients and stuff and if someone could just explain how to use one and where to get the game, thats more what im looking for. Thanks!

is there any way for me, with my US dollars, to take advantage of India's rapidly appreciating rupee? In the past 40 months the Indian rupee has appreciated more 25% against the US dollar. The exchange rate has gone from 51 rupees to the dollar to a mere 40.6 rupees to the dollar. And financial experts expect the trend to continue, with the rupee perhaps reaching 30 rupees to the dollar by 2010. How can I, an American with my money stuck in dollars, take advantage of the Indian rupee's remarkable growth? Should I change all my money to rupees? Should I invest in the Indian stock market? Buy Indian bonds? If I keep my money in dollars, then the value of my money is going to keep going down relative to the rupee. But if I change it to rupees now, before the dollar drops even more, then my money will stay safe, or grow stronger, right? PS I should add that I plan on living and working in India for at least several years in the near future and maybe forever.
Changing money..? An Indian gentleman on his first visit to the USA visited the foreign exchange to exchange some Rupees. He handed to the cashier 100,000Rps and after a quick calculation on the calculator, was given $50.45 with a typical "service" smile and "Have a nice day!" The Indian promptly spent this and returned the next day with another wad of Rupees. He handed the same cashier 100,000Rps and put his hand out for his $50.45, instead he received $48.78. He questiond bitterly Ooh! vy less !!??" Whereupon the cashier replied "Fluctuations!" He screamed back "FLUCK YOU AMERICANS, TOO!" I'm going back to Delhi!!! :.-)

Are U an Indian? Dear Friends. I hv recd this mail from a great friend...would like to share with u all...pls spare 600 seconds... =============== The Former President of India DR. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam 's Speech in Hyderabad . * Why is the media here so negative? Why are we in India so embarrassed to recognize our own strengths, our achievements? We are such a great nation. We have so many amazing success stories but we refuse acknowledge them--- Why? We are the first in milk production. We are number one in Remote sensing satellites. We are the second largest producer of wheat. We are the second largest producer of rice. Look at Dr. Sudarshan , he has transferred the tribal village into a self-sustaining, self-driving unit. There are millions of such achievements but our media is only obsessed in the bad news and failures and disasters. I was in Tel Aviv once and I was reading the Israeli newspaper. It was the day after a lot of attacks and bombardments and deaths had taken place. The Hamas had struck. But the front page of the newspaper had the picture of a Jewish gentleman who in five years had transformed his desert into an orchid and a granary. It was this inspiring picture that everyone woke up to. The gory details of killings, bombardments, deaths, were inside in the newspaper, buried among other news. In India we only read about death, sickness, terrorism, crime. Why are we so NEGATIVE? Another question: Why are we, as a nation so obsessed with foreign things? We want foreign T. Vs, we want foreign shirts. We want foreign technology. Why this obsession with everything imported. Do we not realize that self-respect comes with self-reliance? I was in Hyderabad giving this lecture, when a 14 year old girl asked me for my autograph. I asked her what her goal in life is. She replied: I want to live in a developed India . For her, you and I will have to build this developed India . You must proclaim. India is not an under-developed nation; it is a highly developed nation. Do you have 10 minutes? Allow me to come back with a vengeance. Got 10 minutes for your country? If yes, then read; otherwise, choice is yours. YOU say that our government is inefficient. YOU say that our laws are too old. YOU say that the municipality does not pick up the garbage. YOU say that the phones don't work, the railways are a joke, The airline is the worst in the world, mails never reach their destination. YOU say that our country has been fed to the dogs and is the absolute pits. YOU say, say and say. What do YOU do about it? Take a person on his way to Singapore . Give him a name - YOURS. Give him aface - YOURS. YOU walk out of the airport and you are at your International best. In Singapore you don't throw cigarette butts on the roads or eat in the stores. YOU are as proud of their Underground links as they are. You pay $5 (approx. Rs. 60) to drive through Orchard Road (equivalent of Mahim Causeway or Pedder Road ) between 5 PM and 8 PM. YOU come back to the parking lot to punch your parking ticket if you have over stayed in a restaurant or a shopping mall irrespective of your status identity.... In Singapore you don't say anything, DO YOU? YOU wouldn't dare to eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai . YOU would not dare to go out without your head covered in Jeddah . YOU would not dare to buy an employee of the telephone exchange in London at 10 pounds ( Rs.650) a month to, 'see to it that my STD and ISD calls are billed to someone else.'YOU would not dare to speed beyond 55 mph (88 km/h) in Washington and then tell the traffic cop,'Jaanta hai main kaun hoon (Do you know who I am?). I am so and so's son. Take your two bucks and get lost.' YOU wouldn't chuck an empty coconut shell anywhere other than the garbage pail on the beaches in Australia and New Zealand . Why don't YOU spit Paan on the streets of Tokyo ? Why don't YOU use examination jockeys or buy fake certificates in Boston ??? We are still talking of the same YOU. YOU who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but cannot in your own. You who will throw papers and cigarettes on the road the moment you touch Indian ground. If you can be an involved and appreciative citizen in an alien country, why cannot you be the same here in India ? Once in an interview, the famous Ex-municipal commissioner of Bombay , Mr. Tinaikar , had a point to make. 'Rich people's dogs are walked on the streets to leave their affluent droppings all over the place,' he said. 'And then the same people turn around to criticize and blame the authorities for inefficiency and dirty pavements. What do they expect the officers to do? Go down with a broom every time their dog feels the pressure in his bowels? In America every dog owner has to clean up after his pet has done the job. Same in Japan . Will the Indian citizen do that here?' He's right. We go to the polls to choose a government and after that forfeit all responsibility. We sit back wanting to be pampered and expect the government to do everything for us whilst our contribution is totally negative. We expect the government to clean up but we are not going to stop chucking garbage all over the place nor are we going to stop to pick a up a stray piece of paper and throw it in the bin. We expect the railways to provide clean bathrooms but we are not going to learn the proper use of bathrooms. We want Indian Airlines and Air India to provide the best of food and toiletries but we are not going to stop pilfering at the least opportunity. This applies even to the staff who is known not to pass on the service to the public. When it comes to burning social issues like those related towomen, dowry, girl child! and others, we make loud drawing room protestations and continue to do the reverse at home. Our excuse? 'It's the whole system which has to change, how will it matter if I alone forego my sons' rights to a dowry.' So who's going to change the system? What does a system consist of ? Very conveniently for us it consists of our neighbours, other households, other cities, other communities and the government. But definitely not me and YOU. When it comes to us actually making a positive contribution to the system we lock ourselves along with our families into a safe cocoon and look into the distance at countries far away and wait for a Mr.Clean to come along & work miracles for us with a majestic sweep of his hand or we leave the country and run away. Like lazy cowards hounded by our fears we run to America to bask in their glory and praise their system. When New York becomes insecure we run to England . When England experiences unemployment, we take the next flight out to the Gulf. When the Gulf is war struck, we demand to be rescued and brought home by the Indian government. Everybody is out to abuse and rape the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is mortgaged to money. Dear Indians, The article is highly thought inductive, calls for a greatdeal of introspection and pricks one's conscience too.... I am echoing J. F. Kennedy 's words to his fellow Americans to relate to Indians..... 'ASK WHAT WE CAN DO FOR INDIA AND DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE TO MAKE INDIA WHAT AMERICA AND OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES ARE TODAY' Lets do what India needs from us. Forward this mail to each Indian for a change instead of sending Jokes or junk mails. Thank you
Currency Exchange USD TO CDN.Where can I find the best rate? My bank ripped me off !!!! x-( Check out details!? I will be traveling to India. I wanted to send the money to a friend so that I have it there. My bank suggested that I use their "free" international draft service. I agreed and got the draft made out for 4049$ CDN.I spent the whole year saving up :( (Im a student) Now what they didn't tell me was that they SOLD me the draft, Later I found a bank which could do it for free electronically for me. So, I decided to return the draft. Now, when I went back, they said the RATE had changed and therefore, I will lose 143$ if I sold it now. Moreover, after doing some research, I have found out that they offer MUCH LOWER rates to buy than they sell em at:( That means I'll NEVER get my money back totally. This is ridiculous:( The currency exchange rate b/w CAN and Indian Rupee(INR) is about 40.something and US$ to INR is 50.something...BUT I lose 40,000INR if i just get the 3200 US$ exchanged :'( This is hard earned money:( and thats why it hurts..any suggestions? for places/banks which will offer higher BUYING rates for the US$...in terms of canadian currency? I want my CANADIAN currency BACK without losing out on anything! x-(
Should all publicly listed companies 'comply' with RTI Act? RTI = Right To Information Act All stock market listed companies in Indians stock exchanges are predominantly 'owning' and 'operating' on public money. This is enhance 'transparency' and enable retail investors to invest wisely in companies through stock markets.

Why is the Indian Army not accepting the indigenous Arjun MBT developed by DRDO? They say they will not take more than the 124 already ordered and they'll take the Russian T series tanks spending over a Billion dollars. They have also refused to conduct a comparative test between the two Tanks. The Arjun is definitely superior in quality and is more comparable to the Us Abrams tank. Besides it's indeginous. Lots of money was spent on the R& D for this tank and now the Army refuses to take it. Should the Army be investigated for corruption, bribes that might have been given by Russians for the Billion dollar order? How is India to develop an Indiginous Defence industry if the money invested in R&D is not recovered? They don't appreciate the work done by DRDO scientists with very shoestring budgets and the Technology transfer prevention regime around the world. What is the point giving a Billion dollars of hard earned foreign exchange to Russia when the domestic alternative is of an even better quality?
how is the exchange rate of a currency determined i.e how do we determine the value of Rupee vs dollar? If the value of Muritian Rupee= 1.5 Indian Rupee, what does this mean. Also if we have so much poverty why cant we print more money.
CC Sabathia and the Cubs? I heard somewhere that the Cubs would really like to have Sabathia but have not seen anything on it personally. Any truth to this? what would the Cubs have to offer the Indians in exchange, seeing as the season is at its midpoint and Sabathia is still free to leave whatever team he is with at the end of the year. I am an Indians fan and I hope Shapiro pulls the trigger because Sabathia falls apart in the clutch and even if he did not, no way do I see him signing for less money to stay in Cleveland. Any ideas? Comments? Recent rumors involving Sabathia? Sabathia and the Cubs? thanks!
Why did the "White Man" Come to the North America? Did the Indians Welcome him? You say that we came as legal ones.....if you want to consider the atrocities committed to the North American Indians as our coming here legal do so......The Indian did not have the concept of owning land.......The saw land as on loan by mother nature. Mother nature owned the land they did not. So when the White Man came requesting to buy land the Indian so much wanted to share all of the bounty of the land with the white man......The white man tricked the Indians into entering into written contracts of land purchase.......lands of hundreds of acres purchased with little in exchange.....was not money.......Beaver pelts, deer antlers....beads...etc were the purchasing items. The Indians not understanding the concept of a man owning land......assumed that they were giving the white man the same rights as they had to hunt fish and camp .... The white man saw the Indian as stupid and dumb and fraudulently acquired his lands..... so don't say we came here as legal.... we came as thieves.

how does my movie story sound? The basic concept is pretty simple the hero falls in love with a girl however his parents are divorced and the heroine's father tells the hero that he will only allow his daughter to marry the hero if he re-unites the family. Here is a brief scene order and description please tell me if it is good. 1. The brief childhood memories of the family bonding between the heroine, Tamannah is shown followed by the divorce of the hero's(siddu) family and his morbid childhood. 2. The hero grows up with his mother and their bond is depicted followed by his pain in trying to maintain relationship with his dad while giving attention to his mom. His friends and his interests are introduced yet his pain of wanting a family is depicted throughout. 3. The heroine enters the hero's college as a foreign exchange student as she is born in India and the hero is more of an indian living in USA. The hero falls in love with the heroine yet the heroine feels unable to adjust to the new culture arising in the US. He finds solace in her just as she finds some love in him. 4. They both become more and more attached to them and the hero's becomes more open and sees the true value of life. The heroine meanwhile becomes more open in the university setting. 5. The heroine takes the hero all the way back to India and there the heroine's father tells the hero that he will only allow him to marry his daughter if he re-unites his family. 6. The hero remembers the time in which his father marries his mother yet due to the economic conditions his dad gets fired at work. With no money, the family gets in major financial problems and even more, his dad wasn't able to get work anywhere and prevents the hero's mother from working cause he doesn't want society to look down upon him. 7. The hero's mother gets fired from college due to a complaint filed by a former student who got attacked by the hero's mother. In reality, all the hero's mother did was scold at the child and lightly hit her due to the stress she is going through. 8. The hero moves to the Vizag area where he borrows a flat from his friend and he stays there with his mom. The hero then lies to his mom about working at a restaurant and instead goes to his dad's house to supply his mom money. However one day she finds out the truth and she suddenly freaks out. 9. The hero then states how his mother's rejection of his father's money was similar to his father's rejection of his mother's desire to work and how these things must be adjusted through relationships. 10. The next day the hero's mother leaves and the hero tries looking for his mother. In the end, he gets a call from the heroine and he finds out how his mother is in their house and how the heroine found her besides the road unconscious, 11. The hero also moves into the heroine's house and there the hero and her mother slowly blend into the life and more comedy and light-hearted moments prevail. 12. The hero's father wants to extend his business and wants to break down the shopping mall to extend a parking lot yet the heroine's father owns a store down there. The hero then tells his father how the girl he loves needs the shopping mall. The hero takes his father to the heroine's house and puts a veil over him so tat the problems between his mother and the father wouldn't be exposed to the heroine's family. 13. The hero's father eventually finds out about relationships similarly to the way the mother did. 14. The hero's mother and father re-unite followed by the hero and the heroine
Immigration fee for canada? I have to pay 550$CAD to Canadian high commission. How much money i need to pay in Indian rupees for equivalent amount. I m confused because dollar exchange rate keep on changing every minute. Please suggest!!!!!!!!!
Is paypal a foreign bank account, as per RBI guidelines (INDIA) and therefore illegal? Indian Citizens are subject to Exchange Control. It need permission for having a foreign bank account. Funds can be sent abroad for approved purposes and parking of funds, in any kind of account needs permission from RBI, see http://www.rbi.org.in/ On the other hand, services like Paypal are being used in India and I do not think anyone is bothering to take approval. In fact, people don't even seem to be aware that there may be a requirement. And the Paypal transactions seem to be small enough, so that they seem to have escaped regulator scanner. My question is, Is it technically illegal to transfer money into a Paypal account or even to open a Paypal account (if it is to be deemed a bank account), as per current RBI/FEMA guidelines in India? Those who have started to worry...note that even if it is illegal in India...max. you get is a fine three times the size of transactions plus interest from the date of transaction, under FEMA. It is not a criminal offence under FERA anymore.

Immoral pinay girls in Baharain? I am an Indian but spent most of my childhood in Philippines. Hence I know Tagalog but few people believe it. So I just overhear some interesting things. I was in a restaurant in Baharain where 4 Pinay girls were talking in Tagalog, thinking noone else understood them. I was disgusted by their talk. They all had regular jobs. They try to trap rich men in free time and get some money out of it. They were exchanging details of where to find such men, their bedroom habits, whether they liked blowjobs or not, what wine they liked, what were their fetishes, which bars they frequent, etc. I am really disgusted. One girl even discussed a Shek from Saudi who liked only threesomes but didn't last even 5 minutes. He always gives gold chains to girls. I understand that some of these girls are very poor and need extra money, isn't this prostitution? Aren't these girls risking their health? What do you say?
Economics question - homework dilemma? Say the Venezuelan economy is facing hyperinflation and the Venezuelan monetary authority prints money in order to buy goods and services for the government and make transfers to low income groups. Assume that you are CEO of Tata, Inc., an Indian multinational company that owns a telecommunications company in Venezuela. 1) What do you expect the results to be for the Indian economy? 2) What do you expect will happen to the nominal and real exchange rates? (Assume that India’s growth and inflation rates remain at 6% and 5%, respectively.) 3) What should you do with respect to pricing, cost management and whether to keep profits in Venezuela or repatriate them to India?
is there someone that could check me this translation in English??I'm italian girl!! thanks? Wall Street is surely the more road note of Manhattan (perhaps in the whole New York) and is undoubtedly one of the most famous itineraries in the whole United States of America. His/her century-old fame is tied up to double thread with the world of the purse and the economy, so much that today Wall Street has become some whole American financial apparatus synonymous. The New York Stock Exchange (abbr. NYSE) - that you/he/she has had the first house really in Wall Street - the greatest purse is not alone to the world, but it represents one of the principal poles of the global economy. If what I dictate it is known to the majority of the people, not everybody perhaps knows that her "road of the wall" according to the principal tradition it owes not his/her own episodes name really pacific. During Six hundred, in fact, Wall Street coincided with the northern border in New Amsterdam: to that epoch the "wall" it was not then still a real wall and the threshold of the Dutch possessions it was above all a sort of fence. The wall was subsequently strengthened for defending the European establishment from the attack of various Indian tribes and then, accomplice the increase of the tension with the English competitors, around halves Six hundred the paling became a wall that you/he/she would have reached more or less today the floor of the first floor of the modern buildings of the road. Obviously, for his/her construction, you/they were used for him/it more than the African slaves. The "wall" crowds up to the end of the century (1699), when they were really the English to demolish him/it: what didn't succeed in demolishing, nevertheless, it was really the reputation that surrounded the zone notoriety that is extended in the centuries up to the new millennium. In reality, when the episodes happened just remembered, Wall Street was the road of the "wall" only for its inhabitants, but it was not still the Wall Street symbol of the American financial markets for the rest of the world. The imposing advent of the money on the eyelash of the road is to refer to a few decades later, when the road in Manhattan became the principal artery of the commercial environment of the city. Toward the end of the Seven hundred one on the edge of the same street the dealers' association newyorkesi was born, that would have brought well soon the Exchange in New York to the birth in the New York Stock Exchange. Formally the Exchange newyorkese (New York Stock and Exchange Board) is born March 8th 1817, in a building to the number 40 of Wall Street, with president Anthony Stockholm. In reality that first form organizational stock-exchange other was not that a sort of closed box, in which the possibility of the negotiation of the titles was fruit of a procedure of access that involved the already present members. From this episode it also has origin one of the more important financial newspapers of the world, the "Wall Street Journal," what it is born as informative bulletin for the associates of the organization of the commerce. Wall Street became well soon the center of all the financial attractions of the city, and different financial institutions took center in the old road of the wall. Different they are also the sad episodes that increased the fame of Wall Street during the Nine hundred. You/they can be remembered, on everybody, two events of the first halves the century. It is the 16 September of 1920 when, after a letter of warning, a device is made to explode in front of the number 23 of Wall Street, center of J.P. Morgan, provoking 38 corpses and hurting over 300 people; the history attributed to some anarchic groups the attack, although is never made things clear on the guilty Royal of the crime. Different they were also the meanings connected to the event: the bomb was made in fact to explode really in front of the center of the society of the most famous banker, that John Pierpont Morgan, dead as soon as seven years before in Rome, mind of some of the most important societies of the sector already from the second halves the eight hundred (he remembers, for instance, the operation that brought to the birth of U.S. Steel). To JP Morgan the creation of the General Electric ("give ashes" societarie of Edison General Electric and Thompson. Houson Electric Company) is owed besides, besides the support to the birth of some among the most important firms of the epoch. Nine years later, in 1929, the name of Wall Street ties him instead to the great crisis that strikes the stock market of the Country, and to the serious depression that immediately followed. To remember it is also the 1987 stock-exchange crack. The 19 October of that year, rechristened "black Monday", the index Dow Jones Industrial Average went down of over 22%, a recorded loss never during the whole century and provoked by a sudden wave of sales. The 1987 collapse also had evident repercussions on the European and Asian purses: nevertheless it was avoided (accomplice above all the action of the Central Banks) that such fold could have disastrous counterblows for the world financial system as during the depression been born by the collapse of the '29. From the end of the eight hundred to today Wall Street you/he/she has become so important that its name is symbol of important business, it is synonymous of the financial markets of the nation and it is also word ricollegabile to the American financial institutions. The testimony of its great growth is also in the numbers. In 1800 the present companies to the NYSE were only 295, and of these solo 20 publicly had the negotiable titles. In 1900 the biggest rated firm was the U.S. Steel (behind which were the operations financed by J.P. Morgan), but other firms quickly grew also: AT&T, Kellogg, Gamble, Eastman Kodak, Westinghouse. Today besides the evolution in the New York Stock Exchange, to Wall Street it is present also another principal stock exchange, the National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotation, better known with the name of NASDAQ, founded to Wall Street in 1971 and climbed to the footlights of the chronicle especially in the last years, besides following the burst of the bead of the "new economy." Today it is still possible to observe as the biggest firms of the sector has not his/her own center away from Wall Street, and however in the outskirts in Manhattan, although recently he is verifying a tendency to the move in the other zones of the city. Beyond his/her architecture and of his/her own geographical removal, mostly what counts in Wall Street it is what her "road of the wall" it represents, or rather the environment economic financial U.S. citizen for excellence, sign of the capitalistic economic system and the beloved-hated one "god money."
Don't you think this will help??Note:"evelyn "cruz" says"you will lose the 'trust' of these people"WHO CARES!! Police, feds teaming up vs. 'worst' migrants Illegal migrants' crime targeted by task force Monica Alonzo-Dunsmoor The Arizona Republic Feb. 26, 2007 12:00 AM Federal immigration enforcement agents are now on the streets of Phoenix to reinforce police efforts to get the "worst of the worst" undocumented immigrants off city streets. Ten full-time Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents joined the Phoenix Police Department to work alongside detectives investigating violent and property crimes. It's the first time a U.S. city has forged a side-by-side partnership with agents to intensify the fight against the criminal activity related to illegal immigration, including human and drug smuggling, kidnapping and murder. advertisement As part of the dual approach, each agency is picking up its own costs. "We don't have to take the officers away from our neighborhoods and businesses . . . to become immigration enforcement officers," Mayor Phil Gordon said. "Rather, we are taking ICE agents and effectively making them Phoenix police officers." The instantaneous exchange of information will mean that criminals and victims in the country illegally can be more quickly identified. The quicker those links are made, the better chance police have at solving cases, making arrests and putting a dent in illegal immigration. "(Agents) bring an expertise and assist the police department in solving their cases," said Alonzo Peña, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement special agent in charge. "And at the same time, it's allowing us to do what we do, and that's going after criminal aliens." Targeting criminals Working this closely with immigration enforcement agents is a first for Phoenix police detectives, but tracking down criminals who are undocumented immigrants is a routine part of their job. "Police officers are going after the worst of the worst," Gordon said. "And they've been doing it without fanfare." Last year, Phoenix police arrested 2,800 criminals who were undocumented immigrants and turned them over for prosecution and deportation. They also handed federal authorities 1,200 undocumented immigrants who got caught in those arrests at area drop houses. Phoenix Public Safety Manager Jack Harris said the Police Department's relationship with ICE does not mean sweeping investigations of individuals just because of their immigration status. "When we put our efforts into investigating a crime, we're not investigating the crime of being undocumented," Harris said. "That's not the direction that we're going. We're investigating whatever the crime is. And if that person turns out to be undocumented, then there's a hold placed on them at the county jail and they're turned over to ICE." Gordon said he hopes that publicizing the partnership's work will shatter the perception that undocumented immigrants committing crimes in Phoenix simply get a pass. Call for reform Phoenix's new partnership comes as frustration over illegal immigration continues to run high. Community groups have staged hunger strikes and plan marches through downtown Phoenix to draw attention to the need for federal immigration reform. Some residents continue to push for local police officers to double as immigration enforcement agents. The county sheriff plans to send 160 deputies for training to enable them to enforce federal immigration laws. Phoenix officials said they believe this approach is best. "There is a segment of our community that would like Phoenix police officers to become designated immigration agents and spend their time going after and enforcing immigration laws whether the people are involved in property crimes or violent crimes or not," Harris said. "With the very limited resources that we have, we feel this is the best way . . . to make our community safe." Still, Evelyn Cruz, associate clinical professor of law at Arizona State University, said the partnership between Phoenix and ICE creates the potential to fracture community trust. "(Phoenix officials) think they're solving it this way, but the bigger problem is that you lose the trust of the community," she said. "Not just the undocumented residents, but even the green-card holders. They may want to stay away from the police . . . you're silencing anyone afraid of immigration agents." Promising results Law enforcement officials are confident their approach will work the way it did this month when police rolled up to a crime scene near 75th Avenue and Indian School Road. Investigators discovered the body of a Hispanic man who had been shot by a fellow human smuggler and soon learned that the men had kidnapped six people and were extorting money from their families, police said. Both agencies got a jump on the criminal investigation. ICE agents identified the individuals at the scene, which helped the police investigation into the homicide. The ledgers, weapons and forged documents found at the scene helped federal agents build a case against the organization behind the smuggling ring. But Gordon said that a "real solution still lies with the federal government."
Can we trust a Clinton? Liars, Inc. David Geffen has reminded folks what it was like when the Clintons were in the White House. By Larry Kudlow Whatever the mighty Clinton spin machine is saying about the front-page catfight between Hillary, Barack Obama, and David Geffen, the fact is, the Geffen-Obama forces put a big hurt on the presidential aspirations of the former First Lady. This brouhaha blossomed when Geffen, the left-wing media mogul, told New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd that “Everybody in politics lies, but [the Clintons] do it with such ease, it’s troubling.” He said a lot more that was derogatory specifically to Hillary Clinton, but that’s the key statement since Geffen is obviously referring to both Clintons. After all, it was Hillary who enabled Bill’s lies time and again. Now, America is being told — and by a former Clinton benefactor no less — that there’s more where that came from. Geffen’s shot across the bow, with its huge media echo chamber, reminds folks what it was like when the Clintons were in the White House. Geffen has single-handedly pried the lid off the rusty old can of Clinton lies, reminding voters of what will happen if this truth-challenged couple ever returns to the Oval Office. Does the American electorate want to go through this all over again? Have we forgotten the lies? Go Google the simple phrase “Bill Clinton lies.” When I do so, this is what I quickly turn up (and from various sources): — Clinton lied under oath to a Federal Grand Jury. (That’s perjury, of course, and perjury remains a felony.) — Clinton continues to lie about his 12-year affair with Gennifer Flowers. — Clinton still denies he sexually harassed Paula Jones. (Even though he paid her $850,000 in hush money.) — Clinton persists in dismissing the Whitewater scandal as a “land deal where I lost money.” (Despite the fact that a dozen of his close associates landed in jail over the matter.) — Clinton illegally obtained FBI files on his political opponents, and lied about that, too. — On the golf course, Clinton has an incredibly difficult time playing his ball where it lies. According to close observers (Tiger Woods among them), Clinton exhibits questionable math when he tallies his scorecard. — And according to Washington Post reporter John Harris, Clinton was so upset about his inability to lose weight in 2000, that following his annual physical he instructed aides to release a bogus number that made him five pounds lighter. David Geffen also has turned our attentions back to the days of the Lincoln bedroom scandal, when White House sleepovers were regularly offered in exchange for large political contributions. I could be wrong, but I don’t recall a single instance of this happening while George W. Bush has been in office. Same for Bush Sr. and Ronald Reagan. For that matter, I don’t recall any Lincoln-bedroom sales during the presidencies of Jimmy Carter, Gerald Ford, or Richard Nixon. Just the Bill Clinton presidency. It is highly ironic that the very liberal Mr. Geffen has put all this front and center. It seems that Geffen is still jilted by the fact that President Clinton failed to pardon Leonard Peltier, an American Indian activist who was convicted and sent to jail for killing two FBI agents. I’m speculating here, but the “ultimate” lie may have been that Clinton promised Geffen a pardon for Peltier, reneged on the deal, and instead pardoned Marc Rich, the currency manipulator and money launderer who is the husband of Clinton pal Denise Rich, who is also a suspected Clinton paramour. The trigger for Geffen’s Hillary insurrection, and the bile-filled remarks he served to Maureen Dowd, may have been lingering resentment. Everyone’s attempting to call this fight. Geffen, of course, is now solidly in the Obama camp, and he’s bringing his rich Hollywood pals with him. As for Obama, his alleged sin is that he won’t reprimand Geffen, as the Hillary camp demands. As a conservative with no skin in this Democratic game, I’d have to say the Geffen episode has bloodied Hillary’s nose much more than Obama’s. Why? Because David Geffen, unwittingly or not, reminded voters of the moral impoverishment and constant chicanery of the old Clinton White House. Do voters really want to watch this low-grade C movie once more? I’ve always believed that the Clinton White House past would be Hillary’s biggest problem in the future. Now, suddenly, it’s been put into the campaign in startling Hollywood Technicolor.
Need help please! How much to give? I have a question. I am coming to India (i'm American with Indian parents) on business, but I hope to see some family there. I have an uncle, who is relatively poor (no job, lives off his wife's family I think- about 65 yrs old). I want to bring him some money, nothing too outrageous, but enough for a month's living at least. Again, he has no job. He's not beggar-poor, but I know he's poor. I think he might be lower middle class. I have no idea what an average person needs to make it for a month or two in India. What is the average monthly income of the average person in India? Also, should I give him dollars (he can convert himself, is it hard since he has no car) or should I give him rupees? Also, one last thing, the exchange rate is currently $1 = 40 INR. That's what the internet says. I know when I get there it's going to be way different. Does anyone know the REAL exchange rate, including fees? What's the best place to exchange my $$$? Thanks!
why are most us residents so against immigration when this country was founded by immigrants? FIRST OF ALL, wait don't call me illegal or Mexican because I'm none of them. But I'm an exchange student and I'm learning about the history of the US. OK white people are not native to North America Nor South or Any part of the American continent. It was Britain, France, Spain, Portugal who brought them here. Then they learned from American Indians how to live here, how to survive. After killing most of the natives, they had the land all for themselves, now a couple of hundreds later some say that "Mexicans" are invading their land, taking their jobs and stealing their money. EVEN FROM ANCIENT TIMES PEOPLE HAVE SAID "DON'T DO OTHERS WHAT YOU DON'T WANT TO BE DONE TO YOU" AND "WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND". Loook history. OK what got me mad is that some people are so ignorant, today somebody told me that I didn't pay taxes, that i was illegal and that I was Mexican. Sometimes people assume I don't speak English, when I speak two more languages. And I'm sorry to tell you that most of the time it's white people. Yeah even though some of them seem nice, they aren't. And yeah I came here just to study, and when I leave I'm going to have a really bad impression about this "Land of opportunity."
What do you think... Y!A "If I Ruled The World" (repost)? Bro, this is pure luck the government would have no more secrets, no more lies no more killings, or any more closed eyes no more war and no more civilian's cries the hood would be free and no more misery no more struggle, no more hate no more bloods, crips or secretary of state some people think ruling would be fun but what's fun about being public enemy#1? none i don't want so secret service if i ruled the world i'd be immune to murders death calls, swimming pool in niagara falls if i ruled the world, my enemies be cruisin in the back of a hearse f*ck the world, i wanna rule the universe [Eason] If I ruled the world, I wouldnt do nothing with it. Put it up for grabs and let Barack Obama rip it. I need a stimulus for gas cause it's hard tryna pick up @ss. When all you have to flash is a bus pass. Kool Aid in my glass not no lean in a cup. While rappers throwing up money the poor try to pick it up. The young watch rappers habits they start to pick it up. To be fly they spend the money from their last stimulus. No better than the last, better than the next failure. Cause his blunders will help my successes look greater. Soundscan battles to see who really got it made. Is this really competition? The artists still getting paid. So really in reality they aint never lose a thang. Except maybe some cred wen rapping about cain. Am I the best? Who cares. There's no need to argue, leave that kinda banter for squares. [Ant] If I had the whole world in the palm of my hand No worry for our boys & girls, no bein robbed by the grands This land wouldn’t be a man’s, so no weaker voices Judgments declared fair, all equal choices Living with rejoice, humans have no sin in em No headlines readin missin, crimes kept minimum Before if they were poor or rich, now no difference Have bitches thinking twice bout subliminally dissin Zero disputes between white or black, no war in Iraq Perfect world that’s a fact, no terrorist attacks It’s evident me in charge is heaven sent Especially cuz I got rid of the man we called President No packin mac’s, no crack, or federal tax A fantasy in mind, nothing’s considered wack This is a fact, because I’m persistent And stressin over gas is now non-existent It’s my world so I’m getting all sex, bread and head Now I open my eyes and I’m layin in my bed [Qwerty] The whole world's corrupt, how can I defeat the system? If I ruled the world, would it be a platform to release my wisdom? Naw man, I'd be just another puppet, fed up so f*ck it, Success based on luck make a man want to kick the bucket, World's full of people who talk revolution, then accept the status quo, And one man's supposed to change that because he's got the baddest flow? Of course my fame would be a platform to reinforce my claims, Try to get it through y'all heads that money's the source of pain, But my thoughts would be altered, the truth brought to the altar, And I would be next, if I fought if I faltered, Genocide, pollution, famine, lots and lots of war, But we're blind to the truth, what you think Fox is for, And no one man could go up against the powers that be, They'll tell us that there's not enough beef while they're devouring meat, So while empowering me might give the people a fake hope, In the end, all it does is give the system a scapegoat.

How do Hedge Funds Manipulate Stock Prices? As we struggle to fathom why our financial markets have fallen so dramatically, many in the financial media have ignored the role played by short sellers and manipulators. When men controlling billions of dollars in trading power make a bet, they will go to any lengths to make that bet pay off – including manipulation and gaming our system. Methods Used To Manipulate Our Markets – Establish short positions over a period of 20 – 30 days – at this stage the selling is done gently - the markets do not even feel a ripple. Once that is done, wait for a trigger to crush the price down. Any trigger will do – floods in Chile , hurricane in Cuba , bomb blast in Afghanistan . The deliberate heavy selling is now done by different funds and entities allied with the short betters. A lot of the selling and buying thus happens between allied parties – something called CIRCULAR TRADING. Circular trading though illegal is hard to trace and the SEC has made no efforts to trace it. By beating down the market heavily, they force those who had bought the shares on margin to be squeezed. Resulting margin calls from brokers will force many to sell at a low price – loosing tons of money. Stock analysts allied with the team play a major role in putting a spin to justify the manipulation RIMM – profit up 75% - stock down 27% in a single day POT – profit up 300% - stock down 50% over the last 3 months From the above it’s easy to see how our financial system, our government, our regulatory authorities are turning a blind eye to the whole system being manipulated. We only have to take a comparative look at stocks that have short selling banned and those allowed - to make a clear case that short sellers manipulate our stock markets. Bank of America (BAC) – up 60% after the shortselling ban CITIBANK (C) - up 40% after the shortselling ban First Bancorp(FBP) - up 45% after the shortselling ban Shortselling permitted stocks- Potash (POT) - down – 50% Apple (AAPL) - down - 30% United States Steel(X) – down 45% Indian stock market has plunged almost 40% since short selling for major institutions was allowed. [Just a few days before presenting the Budget, finance minister P Chidambaram has finally given the go ahead to short selling by institutional investors by clearing issues on its taxation. - http://www.financialexpress.com/news/Nod-to-short-selling-by-institutional-investors/277414/ ] Compare the drop in stock markets - Thursday 18, October - major stock markets down 8- 9 % Chinese Shanghai Index down 3% (They dont allow short selling) The major debate has been how big a role short sellers play in a market’s decline? When a stock falls by 27$ in a single day – how much of that fall can be attributed to short sellers? Hard to say. Same was the problem we faced when elephants and wildlife was being decimated around the globe. How do you prove the ivory tusk you just bought came from a dead elephant or an elephant that was just killed? In our wisdom we humans decided to ban the ivory and wildlife trade completely. [ HYDERABAD : The volatile Sensex has found its victims here in a macabre way. K Upender, 34, killed himself and took along with him his wife Swati and two-year-old son Sai Ashij. The huge losses in the stocks business was too much for him to bear.- http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Cities/Hyderabad/Bear_run_pushes_family_to_suicide/articleshow/3501114.cms] Huge and sudden market declines have caused people to take their own lives along with whole families. When we are dealing with an issue this serious, it is imperative that we ban an activity that contributes significantly to this major problem Short selling originated at a time when brokers ran their own stock exchanges in the wild west style, before there was any regulation. It is as vital to the economy as is a piece of rusted nail on the road that can blow a hole in your tire. My question is - why would the people in power allow this? Is it because the hedge funds contribute few hundred million dollars to political parties every year?

Jagjit Singh song...? It would be really appreciable if you could help me to find the title of one of jagjit's song. This song is my fiances' very favorite song and I just want to surprise her. Its from Jagjits album in late 90's (between 1998 - 2000) I have seen this song in Channel V and M TV India but I couldn't remember the title, however I know the theme/story of the song. It was shot in a foreign country (presumably Australia) and song is about the affection and love between an Indian girl and a white boy. The gal has very long hair and she is very pretty which makes the guy fall for her. He comes around in his bike to see her each time. They both want to exchange something as sign of their love. The gal wants to get him a gift, so she cuts her long hair, sell it and with that money she buys him a helmet, on the other hand the guy sells his bike and he buys a saree for her (not sure of saree or some other present). As it's been nearly 10 years, I couldn't remember the title of the song. Please tell me what song is that and its from which album of jagjit singh. If possible please tell/give me the link of this track.
Question about Forex market in India? I'm interested in doing forex trading in India, because I think the capital market there is pretty stable and people have good discretionary income. However, my understanding is that RBI strongly regulates the forex market partially because it is afraid of possible currency manipulations by large institutions. And since it is possible to have a very high leverage in this market, people could lose a lot of money without enough prudence, and the government is aware of this, trying to control the forex market to a certain extent. So my question is, how much does the Indian government want to control the forex market, and what kind of rules and regulations regarding the forex trading and the relevant market are put forth by RBI? Are there any available websites or documents pertinent to the foreign exchange market in India I can take a look at?
